It's not a bad idea to do this when starting over fresh and have no plans to ever go back to previous save files. This will go ahead and check if any of your installed mods have an update available, if they do it will then proceed to download the files. The button we will want to press is the Update All button. This will redirect you to a new window where you will see the following buttons. Re-install the game, then re-sub to mods. In your game panel, click on the Steam Workshop (updates) button. Delete everything in here, you can leave the 294100 folder. \steamapps\workshop\content\294100 That last number is Rimworlds ID on Steam. Workshop files, which are located somewhere in your Steam directory. You may have to still select 'uninstall' on Rimworld within Steam. Right click Rimworld in Steam, select properties, select Local Files. You will lose your saves, and need to reconfigure base game settings. Your file structure would likely look similar to mine: C:\Users\USER_NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios. Your user files for the game which are found in a hidden Appdata folder. It's extremely helpful, especially for large mod lists. I highly recommend putting all the mods you currently use into a 'Collection' on Steam to help you keep track of things even when you're not subbed to them. If you're going for a fresh start and want to absolutely minimize your chance of having residual issues from previous mods, settings, files, etc., you'll want to manually delete three things, instead of relying on Steam to do things for you.įirst unsubscribe from all mods you are currently subbed to.
